Bishkek, June 2, 2022. /Kabar/. Simplification of adoption procedures is requested in Kyrgyzstan, MP Dastan Bekeshev said during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on Thursday.
He said that the adoption procedure in the country is very complicated and for this reason many people refuse to adopt children.
"It is important to understand that it is better to simplify the adoption procedure than to keep children in children’s home. Many people want to adopt children, but the 'complexity' serves as an obstacle," the deputy said.
In addition, the MP stressed the need to consider funding higher education for orphans.
"It is necessary to ensure that orphans have access to education in universities so that they can study, too" the politician said.
