Kyrgyz MPs lay wreath at tomb of Heydar Aliyev

Bishkek, Dec.18, 2019/ Kabar/. The Jogorku Kenesh delegation, headed by Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, together with parliamentarians of Turkic-speaking countries laid a wreath at the tomb of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

In addition, parliamentarians visited the Alley of shahids, and paid tribute to those who fell for Azerbaijan's independence, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported Wednesday.

Note that Parliamentary Delegation, headed by Speaker Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, takes part in the 9th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TURKPA).

The Plenary Session is held in Baku, Azerbaijan on Dec.17-19. The Kyrgyz delegation consists of 7 MPs.

The TURKPA in full, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries, is an international organization comprising some of the Turkic countries. It was founded on Nov.21, 2008 in Istanbul.

The General Secretariat is in Baku, Azerbaijan. The member countries are Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Turkmenistan. Since late 2018, Hungary is an observer.
