Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2024 . / Kabar / . Dolon Omurzakov Stadium in Bishkek will host on Nov. 19 the match of the Kyrgyz national team against Iran, one of the strongest rivals in the group.
The Kyrgyz Football Union reported that the match will be held as part of the third round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
Kyrgyzstan will take part in the third round of World Cup qualifying for the first time.
This stage involves 18 teams divided into three groups of six national teams. The two best teams from each group will get tickets to the world championship.
The third- and fourth-placed teams will continue on to the fourth round, where two more participants will be determined, and one team could also qualify through an intercontinental playoff.
Group A, where Kyrgyzstan plays, also includes national teams of Iran, Qatar, UAE, North Korea, UAE and Uzbekistan
