Kyrgyz national hockey team diligently preparing for the Asian Winter Games in Japan

Bishkek, Feb. 1 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan's National hockey team continues to prepare for the start of the Winter Asian Games in Japan, vice president of the Federation Murat Jakypov told Kabar Agency.

He said that from January 22 the team, consisting of 23 sportsmen, will go training on the ice rink of Bishkek city.

"Kyrgyzstan's national team will play in the II division in the group" A ", where will face teams from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the Philippines. In group "B" will compete with Indonesia, Iran, Macau, Malaysia and Turkmenistan. The group winners will play in the match for the "gold", and the second place will fight for "bronze", "Zhakypov said.

VIII Asian Winter Games will be held in Sapporo, Japan on February 9. The competition will be held in 11 sports: biathlon, skiing, curling, ice skating, cross country skiing, ski jumping, snowboarding, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey and short track.

At the Games will bring together approximately 1,500 athletes and officials from 30 National Olympic Committees of the continent.
