Bishkek, Nov. 7, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz officials laid flowers at Ata-Beyit complex on the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors.

State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Suyunbek Kasmambetov, together with Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiev, Chairman of the Supreme Court Zamirbek Bazarbekov, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov and others laid flowers at the Memorial to the memory of those killed in the tragic events of 1916, the Monument to the victims of political repressions and grave of the writer Chyngyz Aitmatov.

A memorial prayer was read.

November 7-8 is the Days of History and Memory of Ancestors in Kyrgyzstan. The initiator of the holidays is the former president Almazbek Atambayev. November 7-8 have been officially celebrated in the country since 2018 are non-working days.
