Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2022 / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aibek Artykbaev, within the framework of the second inter-MFA consultations with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Bilaval Bhutto Zardari.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues and promising areas of Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation, including an increase in bilateral trade and investment, the implementation of joint initiatives in various areas, including the CASA-1000 energy project.
The deputy FM of Kyrgyzstan noted the importance of organizing mutual visits at various levels, as well as holding the 4th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation this year.
In addition, he separately touched on the significant role of such consultations regarding the substantive discussion of topical issues of mutual interest.
In turn, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan stressed that the Central Asian region is one of the priorities for Pakistan, announced his readiness to actively work together with the Kyrgyz side, aimed at the comprehensive development of relations with Kyrgyzstan.
