Bishkek, Jan. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan made a decision on sending Kyrgyz peacekeepers as part of the CSTO peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan.
As a result of voting, 69 deputies voted - for, 7 deputies- against.
Earlier, Head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev said that Kyrgyzstan plans to send 150 military personnel, 8 armored vehicles and 11 vehicles.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appealed to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) partners for help because of the situation in the country.
The protests in Kazakhstan, which began due to the rise in gas prices on Jan. 2, rose to mass disorders, looting, pogroms and casualties among the military personnel.
The government of Kazakhstan has resigned. A state of emergency was declared in the country.
