Kyrgyz Parliament endorses appointment of Zheenbek Kulubaev as FM

Bishkek, April 27, 2022. /Kabar/. The Jogorku Kenesh considered on Wednesday the issue of consent to the appointment of Zheenbek Kulubaev as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Permanent representative of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers in the Jogorku Kenesh Almasbek Abytov presented information about the candidate.

Deputies identified issues in the areas of foreign policy, strengthening the country's image in the international arena, and training of professional personnel for diplomatic work.

71 MPs voted in favor of Kulubaev's candidacy for the post of Foreign Minister; there were no opposing votes.

Following the discussion, the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan endorsed the appointment of Zheenbek Kulubaev as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

On April 22, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed a Decree, according to which Kyrgyz FM Ruslan Kazakbaev was relieved of his post.
