Kyrgyz Parliament endorses candidates nominated by PM for country's highest positions

Bishkek, Feb.5, 2020. /Kabar/. At the session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament), MPs supported candidates for the posts of Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Emergency Situations.

Prime Minister of the republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev presented candidatures for these posts.

Thus, Erkin Asrandiyev, who was the Chairman of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) was presented as a candidate for the post of Deputy Prime Minister (Economic Bloc).

The candidacy of Zamir Askarov, previously served as Deputy Prime Minister, was presented for the post of Minister of Emergency Situations.

During the session, MPs outlined a wide range of issues, in particular in the spheres of ensuring security in the border territories, economic integration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), prevention of emergency situations, solution of social and economic problems in the republic.

PM Abylgaziyev answered the deputies' questions.

As a result of the discussion, the Jogorku Kenesh approved the presented candidatures for the posts of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Emergency Situations of the republic.

Relevant resolutions of the Parliament were adopted.

Note that, on Feb.4 the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues and the Rules of Procedure the Jogorku Kenesh considered and approved these candidatures for the above-mentioned highest positions.
