Bishkek, Sept. 3, 2020 / Kabar /. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastan Dzhumabekov, during a parliamentary meeting today proposed to take a break until Oct. 4 due to the start of the election campaign.
He said that the election campaign will begin for parliamentary elections on Sept. 4.
“During the campaign, meetings with voters will be held, many candidates are in the current convocation. And in order to be equal with candidates who are not currently in parliament, it is proposed that parliament take a break until the end of the campaign until Oct. 4. Because during the parliament sessions, the deputies who go to the elections will be able to use their presence and microphone in the parliament,” the speaker said.
He noted that there was a similar practice in parliament and the corresponding resolution is ready.
The MPs will vote later.
