Bishkek, Apr. 10, 2019 / Kabar /. A proposal was made in the Kyrgyz Parliament to dissolve the majority coalition. During the meeting of the parliament, deputy from Onuguu-Progress party Iskhak Masaliev, noted that one of the reasons for such a proposal is what happens with the SDPK.
The parliamentarian said that today the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Kyrgyzstan (SDPK) is the ex-president, who positions himself as an opposition figure, while the parliamentary faction itself is a member of the majority coalition.
The deputy also believes that the SDPK faction should be held responsible for the past 9 years.
“Today, the government is criticized every day. We understand that it was not we who formed the government staff, we did not nominate ministers, but we listen to criticism. We must form a new coalition and all factions except the SDPK must enter there,” he said.
There are 6 factions in the Kyrgyz Parliament. Four of them make the majority coalition: SDPK, Kyrgyzstan, Bir Bol, Respublika-Ata Jurt. Two other factions Ata-Meken and Onuguu Progress are opposition factions.
SDPK is the largest political party of Kyrgyzstan, was formed in 1993. The party was headed by former President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.
