Cholpon-Ata, June 24, 2022. / Kabar /. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Talant Mamytov made a statement following the results of the XI plenary meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking States (TurkPA), which was held in Cholpon-Ata.
He said that the life has shown that the creation of the TurkPA has become a great event in the history of every fraternal country.
“Over the past 14 years, our organization has made significant progress, and as a political institution, year by year it is turning into a solid and respected international organization. We managed to convincingly coordinate the work of the assembly, and we intend to further improve our activities. However, socially significant work can be continued without interruption only if well-thought-out organizational measures and performance discipline are observed. Only then we can achieve great success,” he said.
In conclusion, the speaker also dwelled on the goals and mission of the organization.
“They are high and crystal clear, like the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and Issyk-Kul Lake. Our fundamental goal is the rapprochement and close cooperation of all Turkic peoples and states of the world. I am confident that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic States will make a great contribution to strengthening the brotherhood and unity of the Turkic peoples. As the chairman of the assembly, I want to say that I will do my best for the overall success of our work,” Talant Mamytov concluded.
The TurkPA meeting was attended by Chairpersons of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova, the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Shentop, as well as Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva (as an observer), Deputy Chairman of the Hungarian Parliament Sandor Lezhak (as an observer ) and Deputy Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Kasymguly Babayev (as a guest of honor).
