Bishkek, March 2, 2022. / Kabar /. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov received on Tuesday Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of strengthening political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries and the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.
The speaker congratulated Du Dewen on the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Talant Mamytov emphasized that bilateral cooperation is currently developing in all directions, and also talked about the meeting of heads of state at the beginning of the year.
He also thanked the Chinese government for providing military assistance of CNY 50 million.
In turn, Du Dewen noted that China is Kyrgyzstan's closest neighbor, friend and reliable partner and expressed interest in further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
Besides, the ambassador offered to hold a bilateral meeting between the speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu at the end of March, adding that the Chinese side would financially support the development of the Kyrgyz Parliament.
Talant Mamytov supported the proposal of the meeting and highlighted aspects of the development of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
