Bishkek, June 3, 2024. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Nurlanbek Shakiev met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Kyrgyz Parliament’s press service reported.
The meeting was attended by heads of parliaments of member states of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
During the conversation, the current state of affairs and future plans of the CSTO were discussed, and the role of parliaments in the development of this organization was also discussed.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated the work of the CSTO PA and emphasized the importance of the adopted model acts related to ensuring collective security.
Meeting of the CSTO PA are being held today in Almaty, during which issues of developing inter-parliamentary cooperation within the organization are discussed.
