Bishkek, Oct. 16, 2018. / Kabar /. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov met with newly appointed Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking Countries (CCTS) Baghdad Amreyev, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.
Dzhumabekov congratulated Amreyev on his appointment as Secretary General. The Kyrgyz Speaker praised the role of the CCTS in the development of relations between the Turkic-speaking countries and stressed that the 6th Summit of the CCTS on September 3 this year in Bishkek opened a new milestone in the history of the centuries-old friendship of the Turkic-speaking peoples.
Speaker Dzhumabekov welcomed the intention of Uzbekistan to become one of the countries of the CCTS, as well as Hungary’s obtaining observer status in the organization. He noted that this once again underlines the unity of kindred peoples and demonstrate the readiness of the Turkic-speaking countries to go together towards common goals.
In turn, Amreyev shared his vision regarding the further development of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking countries. He said that in his activities he would pay special attention to the trade and economic cooperation of the member states of the CCTS. In particular, he noted that he would establish cooperation between the relevant ministries and departments of the countries-members of the CCTS.
At the end of the conversation, the speaker wished the interlocutor success in his responsible activities aimed at developing and strengthening cooperation between the fraternal peoples.
