Bishkek, March 27, 2024. / Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiev received Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan Sandor Dorogi.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament, during the meeting the speaker expressed gratitude to the ambassador for organizing his official visit to Hungary in February of this year. “As ambassador, you made a significant contribution to the preparation of this visit, which, of course, contributed to the expansion of both political and economic relations, as well as inter-parliamentary cooperation,” he said.
Nurlanbek Shakiev also spoke about a fruitful meeting with chairman of the National Assembly, at that time the acting President of Hungary, Laszlo Kever. In this context, he emphasized the importance of organizing such bilateral visits and recalled that the parliamentary delegation led by Laszlo Kever was invited to visit Kyrgyzstan for an official visit in 2025.
In addition, Shakiev spoke about the meeting organized as part of his official visit with students from Kyrgyzstan studying in Hungary and said that he was satisfied with the conditions created for them. At the same time, mentioning the need to further develop cooperation in the field of education. “In recent years, our bilateral relations have actively developed, political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties are strengthening. Of course, we are interested in further expanding the partnership with brotherly Hungary,” the speaker concluded.
In turn, the ambassador emphasized that the official visit of the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh to Hungary had a positive impact on strengthening bilateral cooperation between the countries. “As ambassador, I will pay special attention to the implementation of all initiatives raised during your official visit,” he said.
Sandor Dorogi also informed about the activities of the embassy and spoke about cooperation in the field of education and migration. “Currently, many Kyrgyzstanis study and work in Hungary. We are ready to consider the issue of increasing quotas for students,” the ambassador added.
At the same time, Sandor Dorogi also spoke about plans to publish a book by the famous Hungarian Turkologist Konur István Mandoka and hold an exhibition of Hungarian orientalists in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic. In addition, he said that a project is being considered to apply the experience of developing the infrastructure of Lake Balaton in Hungary to Issyk-Kul.
