Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Shakiev meets with Russian President Putin

Bishkek, Dec.10, 2024. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiev met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

The meeting was also attended by heads of parliaments of member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.

During the conversation they discussed the development of bilateral and multilateral relations, in particular, the expansion of cooperation within the CSTO.

The sides also noted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening the ties and pointed out the need for close work in this direction.

In addition, proposals were made in the sphere of ensuring territorial security and countering modern challenges and threats.
