Kyrgyz Parliament to convene for extraordinary session today

Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2021 . / Kabar /. Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh will hold an extraordinary meeting today, Nov. 26.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported that an agenda of the session includes formation of a special parliamentary commission to consider the submission of Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Kurmankul Zulushev on consent to prosecute MPs Asylbek Jeenbekov and Torobai Zulpukarov.

Earlier, the Pervomaisky district court of Bishkek left in custody deputies Asylbek Jeenbekov and Torobai Zulpukarov, who were detained in the Kumtor case and imprisoned in detention facility of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan.

They are held in the SCNS detention facility until Jan.30, 2022.
