Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2022. / Kabar /. Deputies of the Kyrgyz Parliament at its meeting drew attention to topical problems in the field of healthcare, namely, issues of providing citizens with medicines, improving the quality of medical services, and improving infrastructure in institutions.
Deputy Zhanarbek Akayev raised the problem of hemodialysis treatment, also of the lack of medicines for citizens who underwent transplantation of internal organs.
MP Eldar Sulaimanov also raised a similar issue. He noted that at present the Endocrinological Center does not provide patients with diabetes with insulin. “The situation for insulin-dependent patients is deteriorating due to the lack of necessary medications, while the analog is more expensive, and the effect of the drug is worse,” he said and asked to take the issue under control. The deputy also asked why hemodialysis services are not provided in any of the state medical institutions.
Deputy Venera Raimbachaeva noted that if earlier a certain list of vital drugs was exempt from VAT, then in connection with the adoption of the new Tax Code, drugs are subject to taxation. “As a result, drug prices will rise, which places a heavy burden on patients. For example, a patient with diabetes should receive insulin 4 times a day,” the parliamentarian stressed and asked to consider the issue.
