Kyrgyz peacekeeping contingent leaves for Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Jan. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. The peacekeeping military contingent of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan in the amount of 150 people, 8 units of armored vehicles and 11 units of automobile equipment flew from the airfield of the United Russian Kant military base to Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The Kyrgyz peacekeepers include experienced officers and contract servicemen. Their tasks will be the protection and defense of especially important and strategic facilities of the neighboring state.

The decision to send a military contingent was taken by the Jogorku Kenesh on Jan. 7, 2022.
