Bishkek, June 10, 2021 . / Kabar / . During a meeting with Kyrgyzstanis in Ankara on Thursday, President Sadyr Zhaparov told about measures to support compatriots abroad and the work being done to facilitate their stay in Turkey.
The head of state noted that currently there are more than 30 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan living in Turkey, of which more than 2.5 thousand are students.
Turkey reduced the cost of a full package of documents to work in the republic to $80 from $283.
On Nov. 1, 2020, the Administrative Agreement between the two countries entered into force, which provides for the establishment of equal rights of citizens of the two republics in the field of social and pension provision.
Thus, from Nov. 1, 2021, citizens of Kyrgyzstan will be able to apply to the competent authorities of Turkey to receive pensions at the expense of their insurance contributions.
President Zhaparov also thanked the compatriots who supported their homeland during the pandemic last year and contributed to the reconstruction of settlements affected by events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in Batken Oblast.
The Kyrgyz leader emphasized feasible measures will be taken in the coming years to ensure progressive socio-economic development of the country in various sectors, including the creation of favorable conditions for labor activity in the homeland.
The meeting continued in a question-and-answer format.
Kyrgyzstanis expressed gratitude for the open conversation and the opportunity to ask questions personally to President Zhaparov.
Compatriots were interested in the issues of migration policy, employment, simplification of visa regime, citizenship, medical services, provision of quotas for medical treatment of Kyrgyz citizens.
During the meeting, the head of state gave a number of specific instructions to heads of state bodies involved, noting that Kyrgyzstan will apply the necessary measures to protect the rights of compatriots abroad using all available bilateral and international mechanisms.
