Bishkek, Apr. 21, 2020. /Kabar/. As part of his working trip to Chui Oblast, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev got acquainted with the construction process of Bishkek-Kara-Balta highway, the press service of the Government reported.
"I see that there's a lag in the schedule. It is the pandemic that has stopped many projects not only in our country, but all over the world. Now there is need to gradually return to the same direction, continuing the work on previously launched projects. With the end of the quarantine, road traffic will increase significantly. That is why all the complicated works must be done now, when the traffic is not so intense. We have the means to complete this strategic road," Abylgaziev told the road workers.
As part of the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Kara-Balta highway, asphalt-concrete pavement has been laid today. Construction work has been completed for US $31.6 million. At the moment, 45.1 km of the highway, which is being repaired, has been constructed for 45 per cent.
The Bishkek-Kara-Balta section will be rehabilitated under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor 3 (Bishkek-Osh Highway, Phase 4).
Kyrgyz PM Abylgaziev also became acquainted with the progress of spring field work in Chui Oblast.
He visited the fields in Moscow region of Chui Oblast, where sowing is underway, and talked with farmers.
