Kyrgyz PM: Health care system should be ready for possible increase in autumn-winter period

Bishkek, June 26, 2020 / Kabar /. The formation of a reserve of personnel of medical workers and their corresponding training is one of the most important issues for the healthcare system, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov said at a meeting of the Republican Headquarters on COVID-19, the press service of the government said.

He emphasized the need for a high-quality and timely implementation of the decision of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, one of the points of which is the issue of preparing a reserve of personnel for medical specialists.

“Today, the health care system is experiencing a certain load due to the sharp increase in the number of patients with coronavirus in Bishkek. Medical workers work around the clock and wear out. In addition, the number of infected health workers has increased in recent days. This influenced the work of the healthcare system,” said the head of government.

The task was set in a short time to prepare medical workers from among the employees of medical educational institutions and from among students in internships of medical institutions.

Kubatbek Boronov emphasized the implementation of relevant work in Bishkek and Osh.

“Our health care system should be ready for a possible increase in the number of cases in the autumn-winter period. It is extremely important to prepare a reserve of medical personnel in all areas,” said the prime minister.
