Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov held Aug. 28 a meeting of the Council for Business Development and Investment under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the press service of the Government, Boronov noted that since the beginning of 2020, the Kyrgyz Government has set itself ambitious objectives, including the growth of income and revenue to the budget, the launch of large industrial enterprises.
"However, the COVID-19 pandemic has made adjustments to our plans. Despite the difficulties, we continue to implement a number of important economic reforms aimed at simplifying the receipt of permits, procedures for passing goods at the border using digital platforms, fiscal and customs procedures, reducing the number of documents required for preferential business lending. These measures already show positive results," he said.
In the course of the meeting, a number of issues were considered, including the activity of the Business Ombudsman Institute during the first 6 months of its work, amendments to the criminal procedure legislation to protect the rights of entrepreneurs, measures to mitigate the effects of the crisis due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the expansion of the temporary ban (moratorium) on inspections of businesses by tax and law enforcement agencies, as well as proposals to mitigate the problems of small and medium businesses.
The head of the government suggested the state bodies to hold more frequent meetings with representatives of the Business Ombudsman Institute and the business community in order to discuss specific issues and take effective decisions on them.
PM Boronov once again reminded that the Government, taking into account the proposals of the Council for Business Development and Investment, adjusted and approved the Action Plan of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic until the end of 2020.
