Bishkek, Apr. 29, 2020. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev held a meeting to discuss amendments to the country's 2020 national budget, taking into account the impact of the global coronavirus pandemic and the imposition of emergency/state of emergency in the country, the press service of the Government reported.
Abylgaziev noted that the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the country's economy requires making appropriate adjustments to the revenue and expenditure budget. There is need to intensify efforts to attract additional resources, both from external and internal sources.
At the same time, as the prime minister stressed, all state social obligations will be funded in full and on time. Also, the expenditure part of the budget will take into account all additional costs for measures to combat the negative effects of coronavirus infection.
The medium-term forecast of social and economic development of the country, possible scenarios of forecast of economic situation, forecast indicators of revenue and expenditure of the budget were discussed during the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the relevant state bodies were given a number of instructions for further development of amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Republican Budget for 2020 and Forecast for 2021-2022”.
