Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2020. /Kabar/. Mask regime and other measures aimed at ensuring sanitary and epidemiological safety measures should be strictly observed in places of mass gathering of people, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov said at a meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, the Government’s press service reported.
According to him, the epidemiological situation is worsening in a number of near and distant countries.
"Taking into account the current situation, the national health care system and other state bodies should be prepared for a possible second wave of coronavirus infection. Cases of infection with COVID-19 and community-acquired pneumonia are registered daily in the republic. Many citizens have ceased to observe sanitary and epidemiological rules: do not wear masks, do not observe social distance. That is why it is necessary to continue the anti-epidemiological measures and explanatory work in the field," the head of government said.
Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Health and other relevant bodies to continue outreach activities, focusing on preventive measures.
"The mask regime is mandatory for visiting hospitals, shopping centers and other crowded places. Sanitary services and local authorities need to strengthen sanitary and epidemiological checks," Boronov added.
At the end of the meeting, the prime minister gave a string of concrete tasks, including to intensify the measures taken to improve the epidemiological situation in the republic.
