Kyrgyz PM Maripov meets with Uzbek President Mirziyoyev

Bishkek, March 27, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan's Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The press service of the Kyrgyz government said that the meeting took place as part of the Kyrgyz prime minister's working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed deep satisfaction with the consistent strengthening of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations of friendship and strategic partnership, as well as gaining momentum for mutually beneficial cooperation in all sectors.

Ulukbek Maripov thanked the Uzbek leader for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.

"Trustful dialogue at the level of heads of states of two brotherly countries allowed to bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level, filling with concrete practical content," the prime minister said.

The head of the Kyrgyz government emphasized that the meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan held at the level of heads of governments is an effective mechanism to promote promising projects in trade, investment, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism and other areas.

Ulukbek Maripov noted with satisfaction the results of the Intergovernmental Commission, and emphasized the willingness of the Kyrgyz Republic to implement joint practical measures to expand a full-scale and mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov is in Uzbekistan for the working visit.

Thus, on the first day of the visit to the neighboring country, the prime minister visited 7 objects, including Technopark, plants and factories.

Maripov also held an extended and narrow format meetings with his Uzbek counterpart Abdulla Aripov.
