Bishkek, April 1, 2021. / Kabar / . In opinion of Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Ulukbek Maripov, people at risk, such as medical workers, military personnel, and teachers should be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a matter of priority.
Head of the Kyrgyz Government’s press service Tolkun Kamchybekova said the prime minister considers it important to get access to the vaccine, just like other citizens of the country, so he will receive vaccines in the order of priority determined by the Ministry of Health.
"It is important that after the first phase of vaccination, citizens who have not been sick and have not acquired immunity from re-infection can get the vaccine.
In addition, the prime minister had previously had a coronavirus infection, so according to doctors' estimates, his immunity allows for a greater availability of the vaccine to all citizens of the country at this time," she said.
On March 29, 2021 Kyrgyzstan started the first phase of COVID-19 vaccination with Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.
Vaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis with an interval of 25-28 days.
Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and his deputies were the first to receive the vaccine at one of the Family Medicine Centers of the capital on Monday, their state assessed as satisfactory.
The start-up phase of vaccination started in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Chui Oblast.
