Kyrgyz PM meets with volunteers assisting to fight COVID-19

Bishkek, Apr. 5, 2020. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with Red Crescent volunteers assisting to fight COVID-19, the Government's press service said.

As part of his working trip to Osh Oblast, the prime minister visited the Red Crescent office in Osh and met with volunteers.

Activists told Abylgaziev about the work being done to provide aid and assistance to state bodies and local authorities. They showed the personal protective equipment as well as the basic necessities that are distributed to citizens.

Abylgaziyev, in turn, spoke about the measures taken by the Government to prevent the wide spread of coronavirus infection and the activities of the Republican Headquarters.

The PM expressed sincere gratitude to the volunteers and public activists, who from the first days selflessly help state bodies and citizens.

He noted the huge role of volunteers in the large-scale work of the Government to help low-income families in the capital and regions.

Further, Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev checked work of sanitary quarantine posts in Kara-Suu and Nookat regions of Osh Oblast and talked to the personnel on duty there.
