State property should be used effectively, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov said at a meeting on the results of activities of state enterprises and joint stock companies with state participation for 2019 and 6 months of this year, the press service of the Government said.
"Increase of profitability of objects of the state property is one of priorities of the Government work. Today, there are 104 state-owned enterprises in the country, of which just over half work. Of the 52 joint stock companies, 19 do not bring any benefit to the state.
Thus, 40% of the objects on the state balance sheet are not working. The time has come to put an end to this important issue and achieve the introduction of clear and effective mechanisms to improve the management of state property," Boronov said.
He stressed the activities of each facility would be reviewed.
"Many state enterprises do not benefit the budget and economy. There is need to implement key performance indicators to assess the performance of managers of state companies everywhere. According to the KPI system, we will carry out a detailed analysis of the work of each manager and company, which will result in taking appropriate measures against them," the prime minister concluded.
