Bishkek, Dec.19, 2019. /Kabar/. Support for agriculture contributes directly to regional development, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said during his familiarization with the activities of the greenhouse complex in the village of International, Aravan region, Osh Oblast.
The prime minister was shown the technology of planting corps and the production innovations implemented in the greenhouse complex, the press service of the Government said.
Farmers told PM Abylgaziev that the greenhouse complex, where all the conditions for the work of local residents are created, contributed to the creation of new jobs in the border area.
Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev stressed the support of farmers should give a multiplier effect and contribute to the development of the regions.
He noted the Government would continue to strengthen sectoral support measures, seeking funds to increase the volume of preferential lending to farmers and economic entities working in agriculture.
The head of the government added KGS 5 billion that come under the Strategic Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and Centerra Gold Inc. will be used to support the regions and the introduction of new industries. This will increase farmers' incomes, create additional jobs and strengthen the local economic situation.
The Kyrgyz PM instructed the Ministry of Agriculture, Processing Industry and Land Reclamation to develop an updated project for the development of greenhouses, and together with local authorities to hold talks with business representatives to implement specific projects.
During the two days of his working trip to south of Kyrgyzstan- to Osh and Dzhalal-Abad Oblasts, Mukhammedklayi Abylgaziev will take part in the opening of a number of social facilities, get acquainted with the progress of construction of infrastructure and industrial facilities.
He is also expected to meet with local residents to discuss the pressing problems of the region.
