Kyrgyz PM: Support to agricultural processing enterprises is basis for regional development

Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2020. /Kabar/. Support to agricultural processing enterprises is the basis for regional development, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov said Friday during his familiarization with the activities of the Chatkal Eco Milk dairy processing plant in the village of Kanysh-Kyia, Chatkal region, the Government's press service said.

This enterprise, which was put into operation on Aug. 1, 2020, is the first production in the region, which began its activity after the decline in economic activity due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the moment it produces pasteurized milk, cottage cheese, sour cream, buttermilk, cheese, yogurt. The production capacity of the company is 3 tons of milk a day.

The prime minister noted that the opening of the dairy processing plant will contribute to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in the region and the creation of new jobs.

Currently, the Chatkal Eco Milk company buys dairy products from residents of Chatkal region, the finished products are sold to mining companies in the region and the population in retail.

Kubatbek Boronov discussed with the company's management the problems that arose in regulating production, the issues of increasing capacity and exporting products.

The head of government gave a number of instructions to local authorities and relevant state bodies to provide maximum support to production, create conditions for entrepreneurs engaged in processing of agricultural products.
