Kyrgyz PM visits Bishkek Stamping Plant, orders to assist in its revival

Bishkek, March 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov familiarized with the activities of the Bishkek Stamping Plant state enterprise under the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the republic, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government said on Thursday.

During the visit, the prime minister met with the management and employees of the enterprise, got acquainted with the production workshops, examined the state of the equipment designed to produce products for both military and sport and hunting purposes.

The head of the government stressed the importance of defense-industrial enterprises for the state and emphasized the need to strengthen the work to restore the plant.

"The plant provides jobs for about 500 people, the industrial potential is not fully realized. But it works and it's a good thing. There are certain problems associated with the lack of qualified personnel, financial character, but with the adoption of effective management decisions and modern approaches the plant can be reanimated,” Maripov said.

The prime minister noted that on Oct. 5-8, 2021, Bishkek will host the First International Defence – Industrial Exhibition "Defindex-2021".

"The exhibition will not only be an excellent business platform for the promotion of our products and conclusion of new contracts, but will also allow us to establish contacts for further work," Ulukbek Maripov concluded, and instructed relevant state bodies to assist in solving problems related to the improvement of human resources capacity, as well as to consider the solution of issues of financial nature.
