Bishkek, Apr. 12, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev held Saturday meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Government reported.
During the meeting, the PM noted efforts to minimize contacts between people are the most efficient way to counteract the wide spread of the coronavirus infection.
"Until we get the results of the tests and identify the last contacted person, the quarantine is out of the question. For us, the life and health of every person is valuable. In assessing the current situation with the pandemic, it is premature to talk about any relaxation. We have to work until we find the last person who had been contacted with people infected. We need to have full confidence.
At present, all necessary medicines and equipment are available, but stocks must be replenished regularly. Therefore, the current needs of the healthcare system should be analyzed on a daily basis. The Government will do everything to provide medics with everything they need and create all conditions for effective fight against coronavirus," Prime Minister Abylgaziev concluded.
As of Apr.11, 339 cases of coronavirus infection were revealed in Kyrgyzstan.
A total of 44 people have recovered. Death toll has reached 5.
From March 25 to April 15, a state of emergency is in force in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Dzhalal-Abad, Nookat and Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast and in Suzak region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast.
Movement for all citizens, except for those who are issued with a pass, namely internal affairs officers and medical and civil servants, is limited between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (night time). A curfew is established.
