Kyrgyz Pochtasy resumes international postal exchange with 24 countries

Bishkek, June 25, 2020. / Kabar/. State enterprise “Kyrgyz Pochtasy” under the State Registration Service (SRS) of the Kyrgyz Republic has resumed sending and receiving mails of written correspondence with 24 countries from June 24, 2020, the press service of the enterprise said.

Due to the aggravation of the situation in the world related to the spread of coronovirus infection, mail correspondence was temporarily canceled from March 18 with 40 countries, and from March 27 with all countries.

The mail correspondence includes shipments of up to 2 kilograms: packages, small packets, postal cards, letters, letters of declared value. As well as special bags “M” - international items with a large volume of printed materials: papers, books, magazines. The maximum weight of the bag "M" is 14.5 kg.

It should be noted, given the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, most countries have significantly reduced international air traffic or completely stopped it. Thus, the international postal exchange will be carried out once a week, according to the flights of Aeroflot Russian Airlines.

Due to the pandemic of the coronavirus worldwide, delays in the delivery of international mail are possible.

List of countries with which the postal service was resumed from June 24, 2020:

Austria, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Hungary, Georgia, Italy, China, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Moldova, Poland, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Finland, France, Czech Republic and Switzerland.
