Kyrgyz potatoes appear in Uzbek market

Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2024. / Kabar/. Potatoes from local producers have begun to be exported to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

In particular, the products went on sale at the Dehkan market in the city of Fergana, the ministry said.

The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry previously held a meeting on the possibilities, obstacles and ways to overcome them in promoting potatoes on the international market. Negotiations were also held with domestic producers on the supply of potatoes to the neighboring republic.

Also, specialists from the ministry are currently monitoring the retail space of Uzbekistan to determine the export routes for this product.
