Bishkek, Aug. 26, 2024. / Kabar/. The Trade Mission of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan held talks with one of the major supermarket chains and approached the final stage of the business dialogue, following which they intend to conclude contracts in the near future.
Trade Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Temirbekov presented 5 varieties of potatoes from Kyrgyzstan as samples and emphasized the readiness to provide the necessary support in carrying out import procedures and concluding a contract with Kyrgyz supplier companies.
Three weekly deliveries of 60 tons have been preliminarily agreed upon. The parties are aiming for long-term partnership and seasonal deliveries. The supply of potatoes from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan is one of the most interesting business opportunities, given the availability of natural conditions for growing this crop in the republic and the demand for it in Uzbekistan.
This mutual expression of interest opens up prospects for strengthening trade and economic ties between two countries.
