Kyrgyz President about plans for human development

Bishkek, Nov.19, 2019. /Kabar/. Health and human development are our top priorities in the strategy for sustainable development until 2023, President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said during the High-Level International Donor Conference.

“Basic health services will be available to citizens regardless of place of residence. We will unite the efforts of the state and partners to develop primary health care. We aim to implement the Strong Family Medicine national project. It is necessary to finance family medicine based on innovative technologies," he said.

Jeenbekov emphasized there is a need to create a unified national system for assessing and managing health risks.

“Each region should be provided with professional staff, modern equipment, emergency medical care and transport. An automated information system of medical ambulance has been introduced in Bishkek, such system will be distributed in large cities of the country. We expect support from our partners in the implementation of the Healthy Villages and Cities national project,” he added.

In addition, the President noted education is a priority area.

“In all regions, special attention will be paid to pre-school education institutions. Advanced technologies will be widely used in schools. Reforms will be implemented to meet the requirements of the labor market, aimed at forming a quality education system. Our goal is to achieve real results in the quality of education through the effective management of financial resources,” Sooronbay Jeenbekov said.

The head of state also focused on the issues of social protection.

“We will develop social services that are an alternative to residential institutions. We will strive to ensure that every child grows up in a family environment and that the number of children in institutions is steadily reduced.

In line with the demand of the time, we aim to introduce technologies for teaching unemployed people labour skills. A qualification system and competence standards will be introduced, which allow our citizens to be competitive in the international labor market. We will also encourage the introduction of mechanisms to support start-up projects of young entrepreneurs,” he added.
