Bishkek, March 21, 2024. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov today, March 21, took part in the celebration of Nooruz on the central Ala-Too Square in Bishkek.
The event began with a theatrical prologue about the meaning of the holiday, the importance of harmony between nature and man, as well as renewal and revival.
Afterwards, the head of state made a congratulatory speech, in which he noted that Nooruz, a holiday glorifying the inextricable unity of nature and man cultivating the land, is of high importance and is sacred.
The president noted that in Kyrgyzstan, even before the beginning of spring, sowing work begins, aimed at ensuring food security. In this regard, the issue of water supply, as the main condition for increasing productivity in agriculture, is given great importance.
In his speech, Sadyr Zhaparov especially emphasized the importance of preserving history, traditions and the pursuit of education. He recalled that if previously importance was attached to renovating school buildings and increasing teachers' salaries, now special emphasis will be placed on the quality of school programs and textbooks.
The head of state expressed good wishes to all Kyrgyz people on this bright holiday.
Also, President Sadyr Zhaparov, together with First Lady Aigul Zhaparova, inspected the yurt camp installed in the central square of the capital, visited the exhibition of children's applied works of the School of Arts and Children's Creativity Centers, and tried the festive dish of sumolok.
The event continued with a concert program.
