Kyrgyz President and First Vice PM discuss situation in country

Bishkek, Apr. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received today First Vice Prime Minister of the country Kubatbek Boronov, the President’s press service reported.

They discussed the current situation, as well as the progress in implementing measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection in the country, eliminate the consequences and provide assistance to socially vulnerable groups of the population.

The President emphasized the need to continue sanitary and epidemiological measures in an enhanced mode throughout the country, drew attention to the phased resumption of economic activity, ensuring the proper completion of spring field work.

Kubatbek Boronov emphasized that the epidemiological situation in the country is under control.

In total, the results of about 42 thousand tests were received in the country, of which 656 cases with a positive result for coronavirus infection. Along with this, 322 people recovered from the disease and were discharged from hospitals.

Among the total number of infected, 172 people are medical workers - doctors, nurses and other workers. Of these, 53 health workers recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Boronov emphasized that today the entire contingent of contact persons is under control.

He added that the next step will be the work to identify persons who, through ignorance or intentionally, hid the fact of contact with the infected.

Kubatbek Boronov also said that throughout the republic, work is continuing to provide assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population and citizens who have fallen into a difficult financial situation due to the current situation in connection with the fight against coronavirus.
