Kyrgyz President and vice PM discuss current epidemiological situation and further measures

Bishkek, May 18, 2020 / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov received First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic - Deputy Head of the Republican Operational Headquarters - Kubatbek Boronov.

The current epidemiological situation in the republic, measures taken by state structures and local authorities to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, issues of the resumption of economic activity in the country were discussed, the President’s press service reported.

The first vice prime minister emphasized that a stable and dangerous epidemiological situation remains in the republic. The most difficult situation is observed in Naryn Oblast.

He said that an additional group of medical specialists was sent to Naryn.

Kubatbek Boronov also informed that work has been completed in many regions to identify infected and contact persons.

To date, a large number of new facts of infection are registered among citizens arriving from foreign countries. Almost daily, new cases of coronavirus infection are detected among haul truck drivers transporting goods from foreign countries and compatriots arriving from abroad.

The first vice prime minister added that among the persons placed in home quarantine there are a large number of violations of requirements.

Boronov said that tough measures are being applied to violators of sanitary-epidemiological rules, a number of institutions have already been closed for non-compliance with the rules. He added that the issue of launching facilities in the third stage since May 21 of this year is currently being studied.

Jeenbekov noted the need to strengthen anti-epidemiological measures to prevent the further spread of coronavirus infection in the country.

He drew attention to the strengthening of control over the observance of the quarantine-epidemiological rules by persons, who are under observation and under home quarantine.

The head of state once again emphasized the personal responsibility of citizens for the safety of their health, compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards, including the mask regime in public places.

The President emphasized the role of heads of organizations, enterprises for the health and safety of their employees, heads of local authorities for the epidemiological situation in the regions, noting the need to strengthen monitoring of compliance with the necessary requirements by enterprises resuming their activities.
