President of Kyrgyzstan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country Sadyr Zhaparov visited the Bujum military training ground in Batken Oblast and watched the final phase of the combined command-staff and mobilization exercises "Security - 2021" and "Formation of the South - 2021".
The president’s press service said that the country's Defense Minister Taalaibek Omuraliev informed the head of state about the goals and progress of the exercises held from April 1 to April 3 in Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad Oblasts.
During the active phase of the exercises, the forces and means of the Ministry of Defense carried out a joint special operation to block and destroy illegal armed formations that invaded the territory of the republic, worked out tasks to stabilize the situation in the context of the introduction of martial law and a state of emergency with the practical mobilization of reserve companies, conducted live firing with reserve companies of Batken city, Batken and Leilek regions.
Also, according to the scenario of the exercises, a level 2 military field hospital was deployed with anti-epidemiological measures in the fight against coronavirus infection, security and defense of strategic facilities were organized, checkpoints were set up by reserve units, actions were demonstrated to evacuate civilians from the area of upcoming hostilities, deploy filtration points and temporary accommodation for refugees.
More than 2 thousand servicemen, about 100 units of automobile, armored and special equipment, up to 20 units of artillery systems, and up to 10 units of aircraft were involved in the joint command and staff mobilization exercises.
Similar events are held by the Ministry of Defense annually in different regions of the republic.
After the completion of the exercises, Sadyr Zhaparov delivered a speech.
Military attaches from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Great Britain and Pakistan were invited to the event.
The head of state got acquainted with samples of military uniforms, outfits, equipment, weapons and military equipment of the country's Armed Forces, examined the military hospital and met with the personnel of a separate reserve company of Batken Oblast. In addition, Sadyr Zhaparov dined in the field kitchen with the servicemen, asked questions about the conditions of service and answered their questions.
At the same time, the president held a brief meeting with the heads of the security and military structures, as well as local authorities.
