Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2020. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov continues his working trips to the regions of the country. Yesterday, Aug. 20 as part of his two-day working visit to Naryn Oblast, the Kyrgyz leader visited At-Bashy and Naryn regions and Naryn town.
In At-Bashy region, President Jeenbekov inspected a dairy processing plant, where a large dairy complex is being built for year-round work, his press service reported Thursday.
He also familiarized with the activity of the At-Bashy region territorial hospital, where a possibility for reconstruction of the infectious diseases department will be considered.
In addition, the Kyrgyz leader got acquainted with the process of digitalization of Naryn, where the Smart City pilot project is being implemented, under which it is planned to digitize all municipal and public services.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov inspected the construction of a new 70-bed pilot building of the infectious diseases department of the Naryn Oblast United Hospital, which is planned to be fully completed by the end of September 2020.
The head of state concluded the trip by visiting Naryn region. Here he familiarized with the construction of a new 150-bed school in Kenesh village, which is scheduled to be completed in November. Last year pupils had to start studying at the mobile school made from containers, which caused a wide public response.
Also, Jeenbekov inspected the progress of reconstruction of the At-Bashy HPP, where modernization to increase the capacity of the station continues.
He reviewed the project on construction of Kulanak canal, which will provide 5 thousand hectares of land with regular irrigation water and develop new 2 thousand hectares of land. It is planned to be completed by 2026 as part of the second phase of the State Irrigation Development Program.
During the talk with Jeenbekov, local residents spoke about problems, related to access to clean water, kindergartens, condition of internal roads, necessity to rotate secondary school principals. They also touched upon the accident rate of some infrastructure facilities, insufficient number of beds for patients.
The president described the measures to support domestic producers of high-quality products with export potential, including the exemption of new production enterprises in rural areas from four types of tax for 5 years.
He also stressed the importance of rehabilitating working hydro power plants, which are the main source of electricity generation in Kyrgyzstan.
