Bishkek, Apr. 28, 2020 / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov is holding a meeting of the Security Council in a narrow composition with the participation of the leaders of several government bodies, his press service said.
At a meeting of the Security Council its participants consider the further measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the country and the resumption of socio-economic activity in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The country’s First Vice Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov, Vice Prime Minister Erkin Asrandiyev, Minister of Health Sabirzhan Abdikarimov and government officials report on ongoing efforts to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, measures taken to mitigate negative effects on the economy and options for resuming economic activity in the country.
As of April 28 morning, 13 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, totaling 708, of which 185 cases were infected by medical personnel. 416 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals. Eight have passed away.
A state of emergency was declared until April 30 due to the current situation COVID-19 on the territory of the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Naryn, as well as Nookat, Kara-Suu, Suzak, At-Bashi regions.
