Bishkek, Sept. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov launched the project "Centers for Civic and Digital Education" under the Central Election Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic (CEC).
The head of state visited one of the Bishkek Centers based on the CEC, where this large-scale project was launched online. Sadyr Zhaparov examined the training hall, talked with students who are studying educational programs within the framework of this project and got acquainted with the activities of the Center for Civic Education and Electoral Technologies.
As part of the event, live broadcasts were organized with 70 centers based on libraries and youth centers throughout the country with ongoing educational programs. The project participants - residents of the regions on the ground greeted President Sadyr Zhaparov online and spoke about the prospects for the functioning of these centers in the regions.
A live broadcast was also organized with the Kyrgyz IT delegation, located in the United States at the Central Asian IT Forum, where compatriots promote the IT image of Kyrgyzstan and attract investment in the domestic IT sector.
Congratulating those present on this significant event, Sadyr Zhaparov noted in his speech that the creation of centers will allow systematizing civic and digital education and implementing various programs of civic, legal and digital education on an ongoing basis.
In addition, this will expand the use of electronic services, especially for residents in remote areas of the country.
It is planned to include civic education programs in educational activities: “Citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic and Elections”, “Political System of the Kyrgyz Republic”, “Electoral Process in the Kyrgyz Republic”, “History of Kyrgyzstan”, “Ecology and Law”, etc.
As well as digital education programs such as: basic computer skills, how to use Internet resources for self-education and self-development, how to use the public services portal, SEO (how to promote your website), SMM (advertising skills monitoring), graphic design, etc.
The event formats suggest that training courses (online/offline), seminars, conferences, round tables, debate club, women's club, etc. will be held.
This social project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic together with international development partners.
