Bishkek, May 9, 2022 / Kabar /. A requiem is being held in Bishkek in honor of the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War with the participation of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov.
The president laid flowers at the Eternal Flame on the Victory Square and honored the memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Talant Mamytov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Arzybek Kozhoshev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Emil Oskonbaev, ex-President Sooronbai Jeenbekov, Secretary of State Suyunbek Kasmanbetov, Secretary of the Security Council Marat Imankulov, Minister of Defense Baktybek Bekbolotov and Mayor of Bishkek Emilbek Abdykadyrov took part in the event.
At the end a display of weapons and military equipment from the times of the Second World War will be held. In addition, for those who wish, the townspeople will be treated to soldier's porridge.
