Kyrgyz President meets with compatriots in Munich

Bishkek, Apr. 15, 2019. / Kabar /.Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met in Munich with Kyrgyz citizens who study and work in Germany.

The head of state noted that one of the main goals of his visit, besides meetings at a high level, is to meet with compatriots, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.

“Last year, the Kyrgyz people who participated in the forum of compatriots, made many proposals. The Mekendeshter Forum has become a good platform for meetings and exchange of views. According to the results of the forum, the Council of Compatriots under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic was created, with whom we will meet this year. We are pleased with your successes and achievements,” Jeenbekov emphasized.

Compatriots in Germany asked questions concerning mainly visa issues, education, health, the spread of national culture, literature, including works by Chyngyz Aitmatov, attracting investment, improving the investment climate, agricultural development, the Meken Kart project, strengthening bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, the opening of a direct flight between the two countries.

Answering questions, the head of state focused on projects for the development of the country, such as the development of regions and the digitalization of the country, the transport and logistics sector, agriculture, etc.
