Bishkek, Oct. 5, 2020 /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met on Monday with heads of the international observer mission from CIS, CSTO, SCO, TURKPA and CCTS, who monitored the parliamentary elections in the country, his press service reported.
The head of the state stressed that parliamentary elections of the country have taken place, their rules were known in advance and equal conditions were created for all parties to conduct campaigning.
Jeenbekov also noted the well-coordinated and large-scale work of the Government and the Central Elections Commission, adding that all necessary conditions had been created for citizens in the conditions of the pandemic.
"I express great gratitude for your participation in the elections as international observers. We consider it a demonstration of international support," said President Jeenbekov.
International observers congratulated the head of state and people of the country on the successful holding of parliamentary elections. They noted the high level of organizational work for their conduct, ensuring transparency and openness of the electoral process.
Heads of the international observer missions stressed all necessary conditions had been created for the realization of the electoral rights of citizens, and concluded that they recognized the elections as open, free and legitimate.
They wished success in ensuring further progressive democratic development of the country.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov underlined that, as in all countries, there were certain shortcomings in the elections and they were promptly eliminated.
The Kyrgyz leader once again expressed gratitude to heads of the international observer missions for their activities in monitoring the electoral process.
