Kyrgyz President on measures for increasing opportunities for businesses in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2018. /Kabar/. At the meeting with entrepreneurs President Sooronbay Jeenbekov pointed out measures undertaken to increase opportunities for business in the country.

Opening the event, he noted that the goal of the meeting is to discuss long-standing pressing problems hampering economic development and requiring determined action for resolving them by the branches of power.

“We know what obstacles entrepreneurs have. We are working on eliminating them”, the country leader said.

He announced that among the measures that have been undertaken are:

- Introduction of the moratorium for three years on inspection of businesses that reopened;

- Introduction of system of fiscalization of revenue procedures;

- Exemption of entrepreneurs, importing technological equipment, from customs duties;

- Lowering of the insurance contributions rates for individual entrepreneurs in garment production from 27% down to 12%;

- Establishment of centers for providing services to business with the aim to delivering state support to entrepreneurs;

- Establishment of the Guarantee Fund, which rendered services to 535 entrepreneurs within a year;

- Introduction of the revised version of public-private partnership project for discuss in the Parliament, which was worked out with a view to simplify the procedures;

“Nevertheless, there are complains for the business community to the Government, judicial system, law-enforcement authorities. Indeed, claims are reasonable”, Jeenbekov noted.
