Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2021 / Kabar /. "The placement of the Turkish Investment Fund in Kyrgyzstan is fully consistent with the mission of the Turkic Council," Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said today speaking at the 8th Summit of the Turkic Council (Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS).

The head of state expressed the hope that the Organization of Turkic-speaking states will become a good platform in the international arena for discussing political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, social and humanitarian issues, as well as open up great opportunities for improving cooperation and multilateral relations.

“We are confident that the current economic crisis can be overcome only by supporting each other. The Turkish Investment Fund, created at the initiative of the Turkic Council and supported by us today, has become a real instrument of our economic relations and plays an important role as a mechanism for the implementation of bilateral and multilateral projects. Given the absence of offices of the institutions of the Turkic Council in our country, we consider it expedient to place this financial institution - the Turkish Investment Fund in Bishkek,” he said.

President Zhaparov noted that the location of the fund in the capital of Kyrgyzstan has not only financial but also political significance.

“Kyrgyzstan is one of the founders of the Turkic Council. In the main documents of our Council, great importance is attached to the observance and respect of equality,” Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized.

The Turkic Council was formed in 2009 to promote cooperation among Turkic-speaking states. It consists of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan as member countries and Hungary as an observer state.
